Wonderful news for all Sky Q customers! From Thursday 8 October 2020, you can now enjoy Netflix in stunning High Dynamic Range (HDR) picture quality. This fantastic update means your favourite shows and films will look brighter, bolder, and more realistic than ever before. With enhanced colours and better contrast, every moment on screen comes to life with incredible impact.
You can immediately start watching exciting new releases such as Criminal, Michael McIntyre: Showman, The Duchess, and Ratched in this premium format. Additionally, beloved titles like David Attenborough: A Life On Our Planet, The Haunting of Bly Manor, and Enola Holmes are now available to enjoy with full visual clarity. This expansion is part of Sky's ongoing commitment to making the TV experience even better for everyone.
The range of HDR content on Sky Q is growing all the time. You can already enjoy breath-taking Sky Nature shows like Gangs of Lemur Island and Malawi: Wildlife Rescue, alongside must-see Sky Originals including Britannia II, Cobra, Bulletproof 2, and Save Me Too. Disney+ customers can also access a selection of movies and shows in HDR. Furthermore, more Sky Originals such as Patrick Melrose and Code 404 will arrive in HDR later this month, with new Sky Nature programmes like America's Wild Border and A Bee's Diary arriving in November.
Looking ahead, The Secret Garden will be the first Sky Cinema Original film available in HDR, with more cinema movies coming in time for Christmas. Even more excitingly, HDR live sport is scheduled to launch in 2021.
