Wonderful news for golf enthusiasts across the United Kingdom! The British Masters is thrilled to announce the return of the beloved 'Sky Sports Thursday' initiative. This fantastic opportunity means that both new and existing golf fans can once again watch some of the world's leading golfers compete for free during the opening round of the tournament.
Hosted by the former World Number One, Lee Westwood, the event will take place at the stunning Close House in Newcastle upon Tyne. Running from 28 September to 1 October, this tournament marks a special occasion as it heads to the north east of England for the first time. To celebrate this exciting expansion, 10,000 free tickets are available for the opening round on Thursday 28 September.
Getting your hands on these complimentary tickets is simple and fair. They will be available from 9am on Friday 3 March on a first come, first served basis. Lee Westwood has warmly encouraged people of all golfing backgrounds to take advantage of this initiative, ensuring that the British Masters remains the 'people's tournament' it has become over recent years.
For those wishing to attend the final three rounds from Friday 29 September to Sunday 1 October, or if you miss out on the free allocation, tickets will be available for purchase from 9am on Monday 6 March. Best of all, prices for tournament days start from just £15. If you book early, you can enjoy significant savings on gate admission, as early-bird discount offers will run until 28 April.
This initiative builds on the huge success of 'Sky Sports Thursday' at Woburn in 2015 and The Grove in 2016. It is a wonderful chance to enjoy world-class sport in a friendly atmosphere without breaking the bank. Whether you are a seasoned pro or just discovering the game, there has never been a better time to experience the excitement of the British Masters.
