Get ready for an exciting new chapter in motorsport history! To celebrate the start of the 2024 Formula 1® season, Sky Sports has launched a wonderful initiative called "The Greatest Track on Earth". This incredible project brings together the passion of thousands of fans, cutting-edge artificial intelligence, and the world's most famous racing circuits to create a truly unique experience.
Over 4,000 enthusiastic fans were invited to vote for their favourite straights, turns, and landmarks from iconic locations around the globe. Their collective choices have been brought to life using advanced AI technology, resulting in a dream track that features the very best of what makes racing so special. The result is a spectacular combination of legendary corners and thrilling straightaways that fans have voted for.
This virtual masterpiece includes some of the most celebrated sections in racing history. Fans have selected the legendary Parabolica from Monza, Italy, and the iconic Suzuka ferris wheel from Japan. The track also features the challenging Swimming Pool chicane and the Grand Hotel hairpin turn from Monaco. Other highlights include the dramatic Eau Rouge into Raidillon from Spa, Belgium, and the technical Maggots, Becketts, and Chapel Curve from Silverstone, United Kingdom.
Further adding to the excitement, the track incorporates the Senna 'S' from Interlagos in Brazil, the Castle Section from Baku City Circuit in Azerbaijan, and the Esses from Suzuka, Japan. Even the straight into turn 1 at the Circuit of the Americas in the United States and the Brabham and Jones corners from Melbourne, Australia, have found their way onto this ultimate circuit.
Adding to the thrill, Lewis Hamilton was voted by 28% of fans to be the driver in the seat, ready to manoeuvre all the twists and turns of this custom-built track. This creative project perfectly captures the spirit of the sport as we look forward to the season opener in Bahrain on Sunday, 2 March, which will be broadcast exclusively live on Sky Sports and the streaming service NOW.
