Great news for all Sky Mobile customers planning their summer holidays! Starting 1 June 2017, Sky is launching European roaming at no extra cost. This fantastic update means that from this date, every customer on every plan can use their monthly mobile data, calls, and texts across 36 European destinations without incurring additional charges. It is the perfect way to stay connected while exploring new places.
Sky Mobile continues to lead the way with flexibility, being the only network that allows customers to change their plan whenever they wish and roll over unused data for up to three years. This ensures that holidaymakers will never be caught short when roaming abroad. For those with Unlimited Calls and Texts, all calls and texts to landlines and mobiles within the EU/EEA are fully included. If you are on a Pay As You Use plan, calls and texts are charged at the same rate as when you are in the UK, so you can stay in touch with friends and family without worrying about unexpected costs.
A wonderful feature of Sky Mobile is the Sky Piggybank, where any unused data is rolled over each month. If you have saved up data, you can choose to dip into your Piggybank when you need a little extra, such as when you are on holiday in Europe and not connected to your usual home Wi-Fi. This means you are never forced to pay out-of-bundle charges or fees per megabyte.
Furthermore, the 'Mix' option allows you to customise your plan at any time. You can add or remove data or switch between unlimited and Pay As You Use calls and texts. This is ideal if you want to increase your data allowance before a summer holiday for sightseeing, browsing by the pool, or live streaming from the beach. Once you return home, you can simply switch back to your usual plan with no extra charges. This level of control ensures you have exactly what you need for your adventures.
