Exciting New Football Action for Sky Sports Viewers

There is wonderful news for football fans across the UK as Sky Sports continues to expand its unrivalled schedule of live matches. The broadcaster has officially secured the rights to broadcast the Ping An Chinese Football Association Super League (CSL) for the next three seasons, adding even more depth to the incredible line-up of live sport available to viewers.

This exciting addition means fans can now enjoy top-tier action from China, featuring several players who are already well-known to Premier League supporters. The league boasts familiar names such as former Chelsea midfielder Ramires, Obafemi Martins who previously played for Newcastle United, and Gervinho from his time at Arsenal. Additionally, the league welcomes recent signing Graziano Pelle, who joined from Southampton, ensuring a high standard of entertainment.

A Season of Unmatched Variety

The CSL fits perfectly alongside Sky Sports' existing commitments, which already include more Premier League games than ever before, with the introduction of Friday night fixtures for the first time. Viewers can also look forward to 127 live Sky Bet EFL games, over 300 matches from Spain's La Liga, the return of exclusively live Old Firm games in Scotland, and FIFA 2018 World Cup qualifiers.

The action kicks off this weekend with the first match scheduled for Saturday, 30 July. Fans can tune in to see Obafemi Martins in action when Shanghai Greenland Shenhua faces Jiangsu Suning. The following day, Sunday, brings a clash between Guangzhou R&F and Shanghai SIPG, managed by former England boss Sven Goran Eriksson. Both matches will be broadcast live on Sky Sports 3 from 12.30 pm.

The CSL season runs from March to November, featuring 16 teams competing for the title, with coverage continuing live through to 2018. This new deal, negotiated with IMG on behalf of the CSL, ensures that football lovers have an incredible array of matches to enjoy throughout the year.
