There is wonderful news for motorsport fans across the UK as Sky Sports F1® prepares for a record-breaking year of Formula 1® action. The 2016 season promises to be the most exciting yet, featuring more races than ever before, with a total of 21 thrilling events scheduled for the calendar. Viewers can look forward to comprehensive live coverage of every single race, ensuring no moment of the action is missed.
For the first time, Sky Sports F1® will be the only place to watch all 21 races live. This includes 11 races that will be broadcast exclusively on the channel, such as the iconic Monaco Grand Prix, the race in Canada, and three of the opening four events of the season. The excitement kicks off in Melbourne on 20 March, where the Australian Grand Prix will mark the start of Lewis Hamilton's quest for a fourth World Championship title. Additionally, fans can enjoy the return of the Hockenheim race in Germany on 31 July, which will also be available exclusively live on Sky Sports F1®.
The coverage is set to be even more immersive with a fantastic team of experts. Commentary will be provided by Martin Brundle and David Croft, joined by in-depth analysis from Damon Hill, Anthony Davidson, and Johnny Herbert. Presenter Simon Lazenby will lead the coverage alongside reporter Ted Kravitz, ensuring viewers get the full story from the opening grid to the final chequered flag.
Beyond the main championship, viewers can enjoy live coverage of the F1® feeder series, GP2™ and GP3™, adding even more depth to the racing weekend. The schedule is further enriched with episodes of The F1® Show, rolling updates on Sky Sports News HQ, and a host of features and archive footage available across digital platforms.
