Exciting New Beginnings for Football Fans

The wait is nearly over for what promises to be the most eagerly anticipated Premier League season in years! While we have all enjoyed a fantastic summer of sport with brilliant coverage of F1®, rugby union, and cricket, our teams have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to prepare for the biggest ever season of football on Sky Sports.

There is a wonderful fresh energy surrounding the game. With the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson and the arrival of three new managers at the top clubs, the landscape is vibrant and full of new stories to follow. To match this excitement, we are delighted to unveil a completely new look to our weekend football programming designed to bring you closer to the action than ever before.

A Brand New Studio Experience

Our live Barclays Premier League coverage kicks off with the return of Saturday Night Football. In our brand new studio, David Jones and Jamie Redknapp will be joined by a lively audience of around 150 fans. This unique setup allows everyone to feel part of the conversation. Fans can join in during Team Talk at 2.30pm to ask Jamie for his expert views on all the team news, before enjoying the special experience of watching all the 3pm kick-offs together in the studio.

Later in the day, attention turns to the thrilling clash between Swansea and champions Manchester United at 5.30pm. With all eyes on David Moyes, the studio audience will help bring plenty of energy to the post-match debate, creating an electric atmosphere for this exciting new programme. When you add Game of the Day and Match Choice to the mix, it truly is a strong Saturday offering for every football lover.

Free Access for Everyone

What's more, for one day only, every home in Britain can experience this new-look weekend of football. Through our free day of Sky Sports, Sky Sports 1 will replace regular programming on Pick TV and Sky 2, ensuring everyone can tune in. Looking ahead, Super Sunday will headline the return of Jose Mourinho to Chelsea, while the refreshed Monday Night Football will feature Manuel Pellegrini's first game in charge of Manchester City, with new analyst Jamie Carragher joining the team.

For more information on how to access these fantastic programmes or to discuss your viewing options, please call our friendly signposting service on 0844 448 1671. Calls cost 7p per minute plus your phone company's access charge.
