Exciting New F1 Track Design Revealed

There is wonderful news for all Formula One™ fans as Sky Sports F1® has unveiled a truly spectacular new creation just in time for the start of the 2015 season! On Wednesday 4 March 2015, the channel announced that legendary expert Martin Brundle has designed "The Ultimate Track," a magnificent circuit that brings together the very best features from every single venue on the 2015 calendar.

This incredible layout is a celebration of the sport, incorporating over 40 turns, chicanes, and straights that fans recognise from around the globe. The design features iconic sections such as Casino Square from Monaco, the thrilling Copse corner at Silverstone, and the Marina Complex in Abu Dhabi. It is a fast and long circuit with exciting contour changes, including the pit straight from Silverstone, the first chicane from Monza, the signature climb in Austin, and the famous Eau Rouge at Belgium. To top it all off, the circuit's shape is based on the beloved figure-of-eight layout of Suzuka.

A Massive Scalextric Masterpiece

Bringing this dream to life, the experts at Scalextric have created their biggest layout ever designed. This impressive model spans a massive 9m by 9m and features a staggering 45-metre long track made up of 177 individual pieces. It includes detailed track laying, landscaping, and all the final touches needed to make it look authentic. Parts of every single track from the 2015 season can be seen on Martin's ultimate circuit, offering a unique way to enjoy the upcoming races.

Martin Brundle shared his enthusiasm, noting that the team challenged him to design his dream circuit using sections from all 20 races, which will be broadcast live on Sky Sports F1®. He expressed his joy at being able to revert to his childhood and enjoy many laps on this model, promising that it is going to get very competitive! With Lewis Hamilton set to begin his title defence on 15 March, the Sky Sports F1® team, including Damon Hill and Anthony, are ready to bring you all the action.
